Today we're sharing something we've been building toward for a while. Lyv Health is now Altro Health. The company, the team, and the mission are all the same. The name is new, and it finally fits where we're going.

Why we were "Lyv," and why it was time to change

Lyv Health started as the name of a longevity clinic we ran. We offered labs, health coaching, hormone therapy, and nutrition guidance, and we learned firsthand how hard it is to deliver clinical services well: the compliance, the pharmacy sourcing, the lab coordination, the technology, the operational weight that pulls a practice away from the one thing that matters most: the client.

When we decided to close the clinic and build something bigger, a platform that helps other wellness businesses offer those same clinical services, we kept the name we already had. It was familiar, and there was always something more urgent to build.

But a name is a promise about where you're going, and "Lyv" was the name of what we used to be. It was time to give what we're building now its own name. One that reflects the future we're creating, not the clinic we left behind.

The meaning of Altro

Altro is the Italian word for "other," or "another." It also carries the sense of "more." Both meanings are the point.

We are the other way. For wellness businesses, that means another path to growth: not missing out on what their clients want, and not gambling on the gray market. For their clients, it means another option beyond the two they've usually been given, sick care that steps in only when something is wrong, or unproven wellness that trades evidence for vibes.

And Altro is about more. More for the businesses we serve, and more for the people they help. More than not-sick. Optimized.

What we stand for

We believe medicine and wellness belong together.

Medicine is one of the great achievements of the modern world. It was built to treat sickness, and it is essential for that. But being not-sick was never the same as being well. There is a wide gap between the two, the space where you are technically fine and nowhere near your best. That gap is health optimization, and we believe it belongs to everyone.

Wellness businesses have always lived in that gap. The coaches, the medspas, the functional medicine practices, the aesthetician you see every month, the trainer who keeps you moving. These are trusted relationships that shape how people feel and live, in ways a fifteen-minute clinic visit rarely can. What they've lacked is the infrastructure to offer the tools their clients want most, like lab testing, prescriptions, and hormone therapy, safely and compliantly.

That's what Altro provides. We give wellness businesses the clinical infrastructure, products, and tools to offer these services under their own brand, supervised by a licensed clinical team, without having to build a pharmacy, a lab, or a medical practice themselves. We handle the hard part so they can focus on their clients.

We're careful about how this is done. Products are sourced from vetted, compliant pharmacies. Clinical decisions are made by clinicians. We're grounded in medicine, and honest about a field that is still evolving. That discipline isn't a constraint on the vision. It is the vision. Bringing medicine to wellness, done right, is the future we're building.
